SINGAPORE: Three folks will be charged on Thursday (Nov 25) with illegal betting offences.The two males and one girl have been investigated after an enforcement operation alongside 8 Sentosa Gateway, stated the police on Wednesday.The girl, 58, had allegedly positioned illegal horse bets. She will be charged for betting with a bookmaker, in addition to appearing as a bookmaker after allegedly breaching a 12-month conditional warning issued to her for the identical offence in February 2021.A 61-year-old man can also be accused of accumulating an illegal horse wager and can be charged for appearing as a bookmaker. The third particular person, a 70-year-old man, allegedly collected an illegal horse wager through textual content messages and can be charged for offering distant playing providers.Anyone discovered responsible of betting with a bookmaker can be fined up to S$5,000, jailed for up to six months, or each.
