India vs Australia 2nd Test Playing 11, Squad, Players List: The Indian cricket team has announced the playing eleven for the Boxing Day Test to be held from 26 December 2020. Team India has made four changes. Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj will make their Test debut in the second Test match against Australia. This is Team India’s playing eleven for the second Test: Ajinkya Rahane (captain), Mayank Agarwal, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara (vice-captain), Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, Jaspreet Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj.
Shubman Gill has been included in place of Prithvi Shaw. However, it is surprising to ignore KL Rahul, who is in great form. Shubman’s inclusion in the playing eleven means that he will open with Mayank Agarwal in the Melbourne Test.
Ravindra Jadeja has been included in the playing eleven in place of Virat Kohli. Kohli is no longer part of the Indian Test cricket team against Australia. He has returned to India for the birth of his first child. Ajinkya Rahane will captain the Test team for the third time in the absence of regular captain Virat Kohli.
Mohammed Shami suffered a wrist injury in the first Test. Doctors have advised him to rest for 6 weeks. Due to this, he is out of Team India. He has been replaced by fast bowler Mohammad Siraj to make his debut in Test cricket.
