• He was born on May 25, 1985 in Florida, USA. He belongs to a very big wrestling family and his family name is Anoa’i Family. He grew up with three Siblings: Matthew Tapunu’u Anoaʻi aka Rosey (Former Wrestler, Died in 2017), Vanessa Anoa’i (sister), Summer Anoa’i (Half Sister)
• His father’s name is Sika Anoaʻi, a former WWE wrestler who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007. Other relatives of Roman Reigns who have worked in WWE are as follows : Rikishi, Umaga, The Tonga Kid, Yokozuna, The Rock & The Usos.
• Due to having such a big wrestling family, His father wanted him to become a professional wrestler but Roman was more fond of playing football since childhood and he continued to play football for about 3 years at  Pensacola Catholic High School & one year at Escambia High School. He used to play football very well, so he was made the captain of his team. During his football career he was named Defensive Player of the Year by the Pensacola News Journal.
• In 2007, when he was 22 years old, he was signed to a free agency rookie camp with the Minnesota Vikings and at the same time he was diagnosed with leukemia. In 2008, he was signed by the CFL (Canadian Football League). He played for one season with the Eskimos, in which he played five games and he wore the number 99 jersey for this season. During his football career, WWE tried to sign Roman Reigns several times but every time he refused.
• On 10 November 2008, he took retirement from football career and in 2010 Roman Reigns signed a developmental contract with WWE for the first time and he was sent to FCW (Florida Championship Wrestling) for training. There was no NXT at that time so the wrestler was sent to FCW for training. In 2012 FCW was replaced by NXT .
• He debuted in FCW on 9 September 2010 as Roman Leakee , although he lost his first match. In FCW, he used to fight mostly in tag team matches.
• He faced Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins on February 5, 2011 in a triple threat match at FCW. The winner of this match was Roman Reigns. He also became the Tag Team Champion of FCW with his tag partner Mike Dalton (Tyler Breeze)
• In 2012, WWE changed FCW to NXT and during this time Roman Leakee’s name was changed to Roman Reigns.
• In the beginning of NXT, He started fighting as Hill character and in his debut NXT match he defeated CJ Parker (Juice Robinson). He fought his last match in NXT on 5 December 2012 and in this match he won.
• He first appeared in WWE on November 18, 2012 at Survivor Series pay-per-view with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. Together, the trio attacked Ryback, allowing CM Punk to retain the WWE Championship. • He had his first match in WWE On December 16, 2012 at TLC pay-per-view, Roman Reigns competed in this match in a Six Man Tag Team Tables, Ladders and Chairs match and in his debut match, Shield defeated Kane, Daniel Bryan and Ryback.
• On May 19, 2013, He won his first Tag team championship in WWE. Shield then kept winning matches one after the other.

• In 2019, Roman Reigns shifted to SmackDown and attacked Vince McMahon during his first appearance there. After this he faced with Vince McMahon’s son Shane Mcmahon, however Roman Reigns lost this match due to Drew McIntyre’s interference.

He returned to WWE from Summer Slam 2020 after 6 months.
