Photos: Rain, flooding in Maharashtra’s Konkan region claim 36 lives

Thirty-six individuals have been killed in landslides attributable to monsoon rains in Maharashtra, authorities stated on July 23. The Navy and Air Force in the meantime have joined rescue efforts after heavy rains prompted floods in the state’s Konkan division that left 1000's stranded. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued pink alerts for a number of areas in the state, indicating that heavy rainfall will proceed for the following few days.
