Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Ramiz Raja, has reportedly received approval for a monthly pension of PKR 1 Lac 54 Thousand after signing the PCB’s code of conduct. This means that Raja will not be able to publicly criticize the board.
Raja’s tenure as PCB chairman was marked by tension with the board’s management and the national team’s poor performance. He was replaced by Najam Sethi, who was brought in by the Pakistan Muslim League (N) to revive the PCB Constitution of 2014. Since then, relations between Raja and the current PCB management have been strained, with both sides frequently criticizing each other.

The ongoing feud between Raja and the PCB has caused concern within the cricket community, as it may distract from the development and improvement of Pakistani cricket. It is uncertain how the situation will be resolved and if the two sides will be able to work together for the benefit of the game in Pakistan.
Despite these issues, Raja still has a strong following among cricket fans in the country. He was originally appointed as PCB chairman by former Prime Minister Imran Khan in September 2021. It remains to be seen how the situation will be resolved and whether the two sides can find a way to work together for the benefit of the game in Pakistan.
