Khan's feedback come after a Sri Lankan nationwide working in Pakistan's Punjab province was killed and later burnt by a mob after being accused of committing blasphemy in opposition to the Prophet Mohammed, in accordance with Osama Mehmood, the spokesperson of Punjab's police drive.
The incident happened in the Punjabi metropolis of Sialkot on Friday. Khan referred to as the incident a "horrific vigilante attack" and stated he was overseeing the investigations. "Let there be no mistake, those responsible will be punished with [the] full severity of the law. Arrests are in progress," Khan stated on Twitter on Friday.The man who was murdered was a Buddhist manufacturing unit supervisor named Prantha Kumar, in accordance with Khurram Shehzad, a spokesperson for Sialkot police.Kumar's physique has since been recovered from the mob and dropped at an area hospital, Shehzad stated.The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan condemned the incident and stated: "The savagery with which a Sialkot mob has tortured a Sri Lankan man to death on flimsy allegations of blasphemy should bring home the grim reality of spiralling radicalisation in Pakistan." 
Punjab's chief minister Usman Buzdar stated in a tweet that the inspector common of police has been tasked to analyze the incident.
Pakistan is commonly hit by vigilante violence in opposition to individuals accused of blasphemy. This summer season, a mob broke right into a police station on the outskirts of the capital, Islamabad, in a bid to lynch two males accused of desecrating a mosque.
