Newport, MI man dead from shot in mobile home community

MONROE, Mich. — In keeping with the Monroe County Sheriff division, whereas deputies had been on patrol on Saturday, Could 8, 2021, at roughly 3:15 am, they heard a gunshot. Deputies searched the world and located a male sufferer mendacity close to the doorway of Pleasantville Cellular Dwelling Neighborhood on the intersection of Pleasantville Dr and George Dr.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the sufferer and suspects knew one another. There was an altercation between the sufferer and the suspects that led to the capturing.

The sufferer was transported to Beaumont Hospital in Trenton MI and didn't survive his accidents. The sufferer has been recognized as Michael Allen Tripp, a 26-year-old Newport, MI man.

The male suspect, a 21-year-old Monroe man, and the feminine suspect, a 20-year-old Monroe lady, had been each lodged within the Monroe County Jail. Their identities are being withheld pending a charging determination by the Prosecuting Legal professional.

The Michigan State Police, the Frenchtown Township Hearth Division, and Monroe Neighborhood Ambulance assisted on the scene.
