More than S$2 million worth of e-vaporisers and components seized in record haul

This is the biggest haul of tobacco merchandise by the HSA in phrases of the amount and avenue worth of the e-vaporisers seized, stated the authority. 

It is against the law to import, distribute, promote or supply to promote imitation tobacco merchandise in Singapore. In addition to e-vaporisers and their equipment, these embody shisha tobacco, smokeless tobacco, chewing tobacco akin to Gutkha, Khaini and Zarda. 

Under the Tobacco (Control of Advertisements and Sale) Act, any individual convicted of an offence may very well be fined as much as S$10,000 and/or jailed for as much as six months. 

Those convicted of a second or subsequent offence may very well be fined as much as S$20,000 and/or jailed for as much as 12 months. 

All prohibited tobacco gadgets may also be seized and confiscated.
