Man jailed for inching van into woman after she followed him for not stopping at zebra crossing

SINGAPORE: When she noticed {that a} van driver did not cease at a zebra crossing she was standing at, a woman followed him to the automotive park and confronted him earlier than putting her palms on his windscreen.

Mazlan Ujod, 46, was sentenced to a month's jail and banned from driving for a 12 months on Wednesday (Oct 27). He pleaded responsible to 1 cost of inflicting damage by a rash act endangering private security.

The court docket heard that the sufferer was about to cross a zebra crossing in Jurong West at 9.50pm on Apr 6, 2019, when she noticed the accused driving his van.

Eventually, after hitting the sufferer once more along with his automobile, Mazlan managed to drive away. The police arrived solely after Mazlan had left. 

The sufferer was taken to hospital for remedy. As the ache in her leg did not subside, she returned a couple of days later and was warded for a number of days. She was identified with a knee contusion and given hospitalisation depart.
