Kelly Clarkson made Garth Brooks get emotional whereas performing a rendition of his track “The Dance” on the forty third annual Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C.
Clarkson, 39, instructed the nation famous person on her daytime speak present “The Kelly Clarkson Show” that she discovered consolation in his hit track from 1989 whereas coping together with her divorce from expertise supervisor Brandon Blackstock.

It’s actually on my next album and it’s the whole kind of come around, like the little tag part is like, ‘Even though my heart is broken, it was worth the dance, anyway,’” she instructed Brooks, singing the road that may very well be featured on her subsequent album.
Brooks, 59, will probably be honored alongside Debbie Allen, Joan Baez, Dick Van Dyke and Midori at this 12 months’s Kennedy Center. In addition to Clarkson, Derek Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, Pentatonix, Gladys Knight, Emmylou Harris, Jimmie Allen and Yo-Yo Ma will carry out on the occasion.
