India Records Nearly 15% Rise In Export Of Agricultural, Processed Food Products In April-October

New Delhi: India has registered a big surge in export of agricultural and processed meals merchandise in April-October interval of present monetary 12 months 2021-22 (FY22), compared to the corresponding seven month interval of final fiscal (FY21).According to the Quick Estimates launched by the Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics (DGCI&S) on Friday, the general export of Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) merchandise witnessed 14.7 per cent development by way of US greenback throughout April-October this 12 months over the identical interval of final fiscal.APEDA capabilities below the Ministry of Commerce.The total export of APEDA merchandise elevated from $10,157 million to $11,651 million, it added.Rice exports recorded a development of 10.5 per cent within the first seven month of FY22.The exports of contemporary vegetables and fruit registered a 11.6 per cent development; whereas cargo of processed meals merchandise like cereals preparations and miscellaneous processed objects reported a development of 29 per cent.The nation reported a big 85.4 per cent leap in export of different cereals whereas the export of meat, dairy and poultry merchandise witnessed a rise 15.6 per cent.The cashew export witnessed a development of 29.2 per cent in April-October 2021.
