In Photos: From Howrah Bridge to Sydney Opera House, world observes Earth Day

Started by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and its companions in Sydney, Australia in 2007, Earth Hour is being celebrated yearly on March 26 as a mark of help for power conservation. During this time, most people, governments, corporations and surroundings activists take out one hour - 8.30pm to 9.30pm native time, and switch off lights. This 12 months, the theme of Earth Hour is ‘Shape Our Future’ that focuses on the significance of shaping our collective house - the Earth - for the long run and elevating consciousness of the damages which might be hindering the method at present.On the event of Earth Hour, a number of iconic locations throughout the globe, together with India, went darkish for 60 minutes.
