Spread over 228 square kilo-meters the area was declared a wildlife sanctuary in the year 1980.

#3 Dilwara Jain temple – Dilwara Jain temples are a group of temples built between the 11th and 13th centuries. #4 Toad Rock Formations – Toad rock formation is popularly known as the mascot of Mount Abu. The rock got its name by its unique shape which resembles a toad. Some of the rock formations are 6 billion years old. The rock is located on a trek near Nakki Lake and one can see the scenic view of the lake and surroundings from this place.

How to reach Mount Abu, Rajasthan?

By Road: The hill station is connected by road to all major cities of the country including Jaipur.

Mountabu is approx 517 km away from the capital city Jaipur.

It is located on National Highway 58 which connects Jaipur to Mount Abu. By car, you can reach the city within 8 hours.

We recommend you board a super luxury bus to Mount Abu from Jaipur at the night. You will reach the hill station in the morning afresh. Operated by government and private enterprises both, these buses could be boarded near Sindhi Camp Bus Station in Jaipur.

By Train: Regular trains are also available from Jaipur to Abu Road Station which is approximately 28 km away from the main city.

By Flight: Being a small hill city, Mount Abu doesn’t have an airport facility yet. But one can board a flight to Udaipur from Jaipur to save time. It is 176 km from Mount Abu. The nearest international airport from Mount Abu is Ahmedabad Airport which is 223 km far.
