SINGAPORE: A cheese product imported from France has been recalled due to the "possible presence" of listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that may trigger foodborne sickness. The recall for Cantorel’s Plateau 5 Fromages was first issued by a European Commission meals security authority. As the implicated product was imported into the nation, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) on Saturday (Dec 11) mentioned it has directed Cold Storage Singapore (1983) Pte Ltd to recall the product. The affected batch of merchandise have since been faraway from retail cabinets and are not out there.  The implicated merchandise are Plateau 5 Fromages in 300g packing containers, with a greatest earlier than date of Jan 3, 2023.Listeria monocytogenes is a pathogenic bacteria that may trigger foodborne sickness, with signs comparable to fever, stomach cramps and diarrhoea.“Consumers who have purchased the implicated product are advised not to consume it,” SFA mentioned, including that those that have consumed the affected product and have considerations about their well being ought to search medical recommendation.
