1. My Truthful Girl (1964)

I discussed within the intro that one among these musicals may be discovered on Netflix, and that is it. My Truthful Girl is my dad’s favourite movie, which is why I might need a smooth spot for it, however it’s a genuinely nice film, and higher but, a genuinely nice musical, which is why I’m placing it on the high of this checklist. The music on this one can’t be beat. I particularly love “With a Little Bit of Luck,” sung by Stanley Holloway, who performed Hepburn’s character’s deadbeat dad. It was directed by George Cukor, and whereas Audrey Hepburn wasn’t even nominated (Shucks!), Rex Harrison was, and he gained Best Actor on the thirty seventh Academy Awards in 1965. Out of all of the musicals on this checklist, My Truthful Girl might be the one one I might watch over and over.
