Dubai: Dubai Police have arrested 54 runaway home maids throughout Ramadan.

Colonel Ali Salem, Director of Infiltrators Division at Dubai Police, warned group members, particularly households, in opposition to hiring runaway maids as they might pose a severe threat to society.

“Dubai Police arrested 54 runaway maids from different nationalities since the beginning of Ramadan as part of a campaign. There is an increase in domestic workers violating the law during this time,” Col Salem stated.

He stated that home employees may cause severe dangers as some use pretend names at work for households on a hourly foundation.

He urged group members to not rent runaway maids as they might pose an issue when a criminal offense is dedicated.

“People must report them to relevant authorities as they are violating residency laws,” Col Salem added.
