Boudoir Noir
Colour Pop Boudoir Noir 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($18.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a new, limited edition 12-pan palette that includes a mix of matte, shimmer, and glitter shades. The overall color story had a more muted, yellow-to-olive leaning to it, which made it a little less redundant compared to other neutral palettes released by the brand.
The mattes were often pigmented but moderately powdery, so I’d definitely recommend applying one’s eyeshadow ahead of base products. The shimmers were drier and/or more loosely-pressed, so they were also prone to fallout and were better applied with a dampened brush.

Deja Vu
Deja Vu is a light-medium yellow with strong, warm orange undertones and a matte finish. It was intensely pigmented with a smooth, more velvety texture that was lightly powdery in the pan but only had light fallout during application if I wasn’t careful to tap off excess. It wore well for eight hours before fading a bit.

Goodnight is a light gold with strong, warm undertones and a smooth, metallic finish. The eyeshadow was richly pigmented, while the texture was smooth, lightly creamy, and blendable without being too firmly nor too loosely pressed into the pan. This shade lasted nicely for eight hours before showing signs of fading on me.

Bedtime Story
Bedtime Story has a transparent base and is chocked full of smaller particle iridescent glitter and darker, gold glitter with some larger, hexagon-shaped iridescent glitter. It did contain plastic (PET) glitter and came with a warning that it was not intended for use around the eye area, so I tested it as a cheek highlighter only. The texture was more emollient and could be pushed around in the pan but felt lightly tacky and had good dispersion when applied to the skin. It had medium to semi-opaque “coverage” from the amount of glitter in it. There was noticeable migration after seven hours of wear.

Vibin'
Vibin’ is a medium-dark brown with moderate, warm undertones and faint flecks of gold micro-sparkle over a matte finish. The texture was thinner and more firmly-pressed into the pan, which made it harder to pick up product and seemed to make the product more prone to darkening unevenly when applied to bare skin. It had opaque color payoff that wore well for eight hours before fading visibly, though there was fallout during application and later on during wear.

Nap is a medium, golden bronze with muted, warm undertones and a sparkling sheen. The eyeshadow had rich color payoff paired with a slightly drier consistency that was hard to apply to bare skin evenly–I had a ton of fallout as the product didn’t want to stick. It was better applied with a fingertip or a dampened brush. It lasted nicely for seven and a half hours before fading a bit.
