Chhattisgarh: Three-Day National Tribal Dance Festival Kicks Off in Raipur

Raipur, October 29: India's tribal tradition got here to life because the second version of the National Tribal Dance Festival was inaugurated on the Science College Ground, Raipur, by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in presence of the Chief Guest Hemant Soren, Jharkhand Chief Minister; Tamradhwaj Sahu, Chhattisgarh Tourism Minister; Amarjeet Bhagat, Chhattisgarh Culture Minister and different dignitaries.

An initiative of the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board beneath the tourism improvement plans of the state authorities, the inaugural day witnessed participation of tribal dance teams from numerous states and Union Territories of India and worldwide participation from Nigeria, Palestine, Kingdom of Eswatini (Swaziland), Uzbekistan and Mali portraying and celebrating their respective tribal folks tradition.

The dance kinds in the marriage ceremony class featured Gour Sing from Chhattisgarh, Karma from Madhya Pradesh, Dhimsa from Andhra Pradesh, Gojari from Jammu & Kashmir, Kadsa from Jharkhand, Guryaballu from Andhra Pradesh, amongst others.

The dance kinds in the class of conventional festivals and rituals featured Karma from Chhattisgarh, Gussadi Dhimsa from Telangana, Urav from Jharkhand, Sidi Goma from Gujarat.

International participation featured dance teams from the Kingdom of Eswatini (Swaziland), Nigeria, Mali, Palestine and Uzbekistan who launched the audiences to their respective cultures by way of their high-energy dance kinds.

The Tribal conclave, an vital part of the competition is a confluence of consultants, students and practitioners to discover new concepts that may create alternatives for the tribal communities of Chhattisgarh.
