After two rounds of conferences, a seat-sharing settlement for 193 of the full 294 seats within the upcoming West Bengal Meeting elections was finalised between Congress and the Left events on Thursday.
Left events will contest 101 seats whereas the Congress will contest at 92 seats.
"In the second round of seat-sharing talks for the 116 seats of the upcoming West Bengal elections, it was decided that Congress will contest 48 seats while the Left will contest from 68 seats. The arrangement has been finalised for 193 seats so far," stated state Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.
On Monday, after the primary assembly between the Congress and the Left Entrance alliance, it was introduced that they'll preserve the seats that that they had gained within the 2016 Meeting election whereas a call on the remaining 217 seats can be concluded by January 31.
