Air India, SpiceJet Owe Rs 2,350 Crore And Rs 185 Crore As Dues

Air India and personal airline SpiceJet owe Rs 2,350 crore and Rs 185 crore respectively, to the Airports Authority of India (AAI), the federal government stated in Parliament on Monday.The dues as per September  2021 figures, had been referred to by minister of state for civil aviation V Okay Singh in a written response to a query in Rajya Sabha.Some airways have defaulted on clearance of their dues, Mr Singh stated in his reply.The minister stated that the excellent dues of Air India, Alliance Air, SpiceJet and Go Air (now referred to as Go First) until September 2021 had been Rs 2,350 crore, Rs 109 crore, Rs 185 crore and Rs 56 crore, respectively.The AAI follows up with the airways recurrently for restoration of dues in accordance with its credit score coverage, he stated.Charging penal curiosity, encashment of safety deposits together with resorting to authorized motion had been different measures obtainable with the AAI to hold out restoration of dues, the minister famous.The AAI owns 125-odd airports throughout the nation.
