Those were the days when we could literally go to Jaipur’s famous street food joints and eat anything we were craving for. Pure bliss!
But this lockdown has put a halt to these wonderful days of filling our tummy with yummy street foods. Let’s just hope that all of this passes soon enough so that we can get back to our normal lives and feel the freedom to eat all the appetizing street food again.
Well, now that everyone has become a chef of their house and trying out almost every other dish to satisfy their cravings, we thought we could give you the taste of these tempting street foods. Because let’s be honest, nothing can beat the taste of street food.
- Gol Gappe
If there is anything in India that’s in abundance, it’s gol gappe wallas! The first bite you take of Nand’s or Gopal Patashi Wala’s Pani Puri that bursts with the spicy mashed potatoes, chutneys and spiced water is everything.
- Kachori & Samosa
We believe these two are the national breakfast and evening snack of every Jaipurite. The love for Rawat’s famous Pyaz Ki Kachori and Samrat’s hot and crispy Samose is very strong. Nothing can compare to the pleasure of savouring them with green or tamrind chutney!
- Pav Bhaji
The love of spices, mouth watering Bhaaji and the finger licking buttery pav served with the zest of sizzling hot chutney and lemon, is like heaven in the mouth. We bet the first name that popped in your head was of Pandit Pav Bhaji , because it’s a paradise for a true foodie and pav bhaaji maniac.
- Paneer Tikka
How can we not mention Radheshyam Bhatia when talking about barbeque? Just look at that tempting paneer tikka on that plate waiting to be devoured. Marinated in the goodness of curd and masalas with the smoked capsicum and onions also add to the heavenly taste of these Paneer Tikkas.
- Kulfi
The cooling and tasty Kulfi-Rabdi or the humble Matka-Kulfi of Indian Ice Cream and Kulfi Faluda is the best. Whether it is their Rooh Afza loaded Faluda kulfi or Kesar Pista Rabdi Gola, each and every bite of it will give you a straight ride to the heaven!
So, what all did you tried making at home?
